Preparing Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering and Computer Science students to excel and lead in the 21st century

What We Do in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computing Systems

SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING

The Department of Electrical Engineering & Computing Systems prepares students to excel and lead in the 21st century. We offer a unique combination of technical and engineering degrees in the fields of Computer and Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Electrical Engineering Technology.

Our students use science to understand how the world works. Our graduates have satisfying careers with diverse opportunities for work assignments, employers, and locations. Because they graduate with both a strong academic foundation and a great deal of real-world experience acquired through our cooperative education program, our graduates are highly sought-after in industry and research.

All of our engineers use science to understand how the world works by building models and testing them. Our Engineering students learn how to design build things to meet human needs and are more likely to mathematically model complex systems. Our Technology students have a more “hands-on” focus to their studies. Technology students use and/or apply practical sciences to industry or commerce.

Computer & Electrical Engineering student
