Welcome to the Novel Devices Laboratory (NDL) in the
School of Electronics and Computing at the University
of Cincinnati! With UC having +43,000 students and having been ranked among the
top 25 we
are part of a top destination for both cutting edge research and
education! NDL performs highly multidisciplinary research spanning fundamental science to more applied work through industrial partnerships. At present, NDL has significant focus on electrowetting and electrofluidics. Such research involves the electronic control and manipulation of fluids for optical, electrical, and biological devices. In addition to typical academic research, NDL has the practical knowledge, facilities, and a strong track-record for rapidly transforming novel concepts into commercially viable prototypes. Since 2006, NDL has partnered with numerous U.S., European, and Asian companies in pushing new technologies to market (click here for support map).
